David Saxby's Fuzzy Gorgonian
David Saxby's Fuzzy Gorgonian
This Gorgonian has an extremely thick stem, when compared to other pink gorgonians. It also has extra long and hairy/fuzzy looking polyps, that look absolutely wild when moving in the different flow patterns. The way the polyps wave and shake in the low is very captivating to watch.
This gorgonian was obtained from a sample that came from David Saxby's tank, a very long time ago.
Like most corals, gorgonians likes stability in their environments, so will benefit from the stable levels of Alkalinity, Calcium and Magnesium along with various other trace elements found within the oceans. However they are very forgiving of swings and can tolerate a range of parameters without dying off.
This specimen of Gorgonian does not require a direct feeding from coral foods.
