Jingle Bells Cyphastrea
Jingle Bells Cyphastrea
Jingle Bells Cyphastrea is a jolly old large polyp stony (LPS) coral! With it's festive season colouration of green skin, accompanied by some stunningly bright red polyps. This is a encrusting species of Cyphastrea and will generally spread out and cover any free rock space around where it's placed.
Cyphastreas mostly do best in dimly lite or shaded areas (such as caves or over hangs from rocks). Our Jingle Bells are from high lit areas of the farm, as we find that's where this particular species of Cyphastrea does best.
Cyphastrea likes stability in their environments, so will benefit from the stable levels of Alkalinity, Calcium and Magnesium along with various other trace elements found within the oceans.
Cyphastrea don't require direct feedings from coral foods, though may take if offered.
Locally sourced from a sustainable coral farm and picture shown is provided by the supplier (frags may differ to image shown).
Coral Care:
Care Level - Moderate
Flow - Medium to High
Lighting/Placement - Low usually but ours have been grown in high light
Temperament - Short stinging tentacles, won't play nice when encountering any other coral species. Will place nice with other species of encrusting Cyphastreas
Frag Size - Minimium of an inch in size and fully encrusted on a frag plug or tile
